I stayed at the Wilcox Inn because my Son's home opener for Notre Dame was late on a Thursday night and I didn't want to drive into Regina at 11pm. The new owners had just taken over and I was their first hotel guest. The owners were super attentive to me and really wanted to make sure all my needs were met. My room was basic but clean. The owners told me of their plans to revitalize the hotel and that they were working with the community and school to make the hotel and restaurant better than it had been previously. I was really quite impressed...my son said the store and restaurant are way better now than with the previous owners.
The new owners have revamped the menu. I very much enjoyed the meal I had. Very full of flavour, generous portion and not overpriced like so many places. I will stop in again, it was delicious. The family that just took over management was friendly and wanted to make my visit wonderful. I hope the locals give them a chance and try the entire menu.
Super grateful to find this place to use the washroom and get snacks. The man working here was very kind and accommodating. It was their first day open after it was shut down but he made sure to offer coffee
The Wilcox Inn is excellent. Pros: - Service is excellent, the staff are all extremely friendly and willing to help, as well as accommodating to help make a stay more pleasant. - The food is absolutely delicious, well worth stopping for a meal even if you're just passing through. - Though a little old, it still quite nice, cozy, and warm. A great place to stop and rest, again for those just passing through. And for those staying, the restaurant area is wonderful for relaxing. - The rooms are nice. The beds are about standard for what you'd find at any hotel, but the rooms and other areas are kept extremely clean and well maintained, as is all the bedding and towels. Cons: - Wilcox doesn't have much of anything to do. This is most definitely a spot for those either passing through, or those coming for various Notre Dame functions. - The Inn is out of the way. Regina is about 35-45 minutes away. - If you have a lot of electronic devices, potentially bring an extension cord/power strip, as the rooms don't have very many electrical outlets, and those that are there aren't very conveniently placed. However, there are still enough to charge phones and laptops, at the end of the day.
The new owners are Absolutely the most amazing business owners I have ever met! The service was quick and the pizza was absolutely delicious with homemade crust! The chicken tacos were amazing! Will definitely visit again
The rooms are clean and have a good amount of space . The food is good and the staff are very very nice . Always willing to help how they can . My family always stays here when we visit !
Spent the night over Christmas while visiting family. Room was nice. Beds were great with nice bedding. A few little forgotten amenities but did not ruin our day, no glasses, no TV although there was a remote, no coffeemaker although there was a bowel of creamer pods in fridge. I'm sure all would have been promptly provided if we asked. Owner very friendly and willing to accommodate. Nice quiet sleep. It has been upgraded since our last visit and perfectly adequate for a short visit. Nice to see restaurant, bar and convenience store opened in the village. Hope your venture is successful and we see you again.
